LEE UFAN MUSEUM

Outline
Located on Naoshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea, this museum exhibits the works of sculptor Lee Ufan. "The theme of the museum is "architecture that integrates with the natural topography and blends into the landscape. The site is located in a gentle depression that runs from an inlet, and is approached by a 30-meter square plaza and two parallel walls that lead to an underground exhibition space. Following on from the Chichu Art Museum (0409), this is a new "architecture in the ground".
