Outline
The south entrance of Niigata Station was developed as the first phase of the best design proposal competition for the station square. A pedestrian deck connecting the east and west sides was constructed. A "connector cube" with a built-in elevator and stairs was installed as a vertical line of flow between the pedestrian deck and the plaza.
