Outline: This is a one-story house with a view of Mt. Ishizuchi. Since the house is also a gathering place for local friends, the living room, dining room, and kitchen are spacious and comfortable, with a large hipped roof. In the center of the room, a large pillar made of polished cedar logs is set in place, and a combination of stile and rail doors and revolving shoji screens are used to open the rooms. When all of the doors are retracted, they become one with the veranda, filling the veranda with wind and light from the lawn garden.
