Outline: The designer's own residence was renovated from a three-story steel-framed building that was once the office of a newspaper company and its company housing. The translucent FRP allows in soft light while cutting off the view from the street, and the folded-plate shape diffuses sound. The wood on the walls is a sound diffuser made of reused peeled LVL core wood. It can be easily removed, and the sound environment can be customized by inserting sound-absorbing materials into the back as needed.
