Outline: The house is built on a slope that descends toward the south. The owner's family lives between Tokyo and Karuizawa and enjoys living in the rich natural environment here. The owner's wife enjoys the tea ceremony and has a Japanese-style room with a nijiriguchi (doorway) on the right side of the porch.
