A Large Window of Higashiogu
Fuminori Nousaku Architects
- Outline
- Renovation of a 70-year-old house in a dense wood-frame neighborhood. The interior was completely renovated, while the exterior was mainly the facade on the south side of the street. Sweeping windows were positioned at the top of each floor to control sight lines to the interior. In addition, a slope was created on the window sill by taking advantage of the disparity between the window blank height and the height of the first floor ceiling. On each floor, the slopes reflect natural light and bring light into the interior.
