House in Toyama

Outline
A second house and guest house renovated from a 45-year-old house. The partition walls of the existing Japanese-style room were removed to create a single room that is bright even during the cloudy winter season. Various living spaces are arranged around the central hall. Between the bench and the opening, there is a porch, and at the back of the porch, an artwork using upcycled silk threads is displayed. The hall is set at the lowest floor level (FL-380mm) from the existing floor level to give it a centrality.
