Outline: A renovation project of 17 old rental units managed by the owner. The demolition of three of the eight buildings, which were 44 years old and had deteriorated rapidly, was followed by the conversion of four of the buildings into rental units (ORCHARD 1-4) and one into a shared kitchen for the residents to use. The shared kitchen also provides a place for residents to interact with each other.
