Outline: One room (approx. 70m2) of a 50-year-old reinforced concrete housing complex was renovated into a couple's residence. In order to secure a "large common area" and "separate bedrooms" within the unique boundaries of two people living together, the existing walls were removed. A one-room common area was created and private rooms were inserted. One of the bedrooms was placed inside a partition shelf facing the living/dining/kitchen area to create a relationship with the surrounding environment.
