- A courtyard house built on a site with a difference in elevation in an urban residential area, with a reinforced concrete structure topped by a conventional wooden frame structure. the volumes are placed in the front and back of the site with a courtyard in between for lighting and visibility from the neighborhood. a staircase room on the southwest side of the site connects the two buildings. although the site is located in a semi-fire zone, the exterior walls and eaves are finished with yoshino cedar paneling, and solid wood is used both inside and out.
