- The house is built on a site in Kyoto City with a frontage of about 5.5m and a depth of about 24.5m, like an eel's bed. On the south side of the site, a 21-meter-long street garden runs east-west, and an earthen floor space leads straight through from the front road to the tsuboniwa garden at the back.
