Outline: The building faces the road of philosophy near Ginkakuji Temple. It was built as a villa for the owner who lived abroad. In keeping with the style of mansions that have a garden on the south side of the house, the garden is located on the south side of the house, and the east, north, and west sides of the house have narrow gardens of the same width, creating a sense of continuity with the outside while protecting privacy.
