Borderless House
Haryu Wood Studio+Selma Masic
- Outline
- This is a three-story house made of 150 mm square cedar wood with vertical log construction. It is the private residence of a Bosnian-Herzegovinian architect who is one of the designers. It stands on a corner lot facing a crossroad where many people and cars come and go. The composition of the house maximizes the wooden skeleton space on the narrow site and makes use of the skip floor. The floor, walls, and stairs are all made of vertical log panels. The vertical log panels and cedar board exterior walls are certified as quasi-fireproof, so the wooden structure can withstand quasi-fire zones without steel or concrete panels.
