- An off-grid house that is not connected to the power grid. The minimum necessary power is obtained from solar panels and stored in batteries used and discarded by golf course forklifts. The power source for the electric lights is 12 VDC, and the plan is to avoid passing the generated power through a transformer to reduce voltage loss.
