- In this renovation of a 50-year-old apartment building, the number of units was reduced from three to two, and a common living room and a garden with a wisteria trellis were newly created for the use of residents and neighbors for workshops. The post-and-beam structure of the existing building extends outward, creating a common space inside and outside the building.
