House in Kamiikedai

Outline
The shed-shaped volume facing the street on the first floor is a public space (stand) inserted into the house. The resident couple opens the space to the town as a design office, coffee stand, bonsai class, bookstore, and "stand at the top of the hill" where visitors can see the faces of the community.
