House Shinon
Takasaki Masaharu/Takasaki Architects
- Outline
- Facing the road on two sides, the building has an open appearance, with a "mababe" structure consisting of columns and mud walls that evoke a sense of connection with history and tradition. Each room is the size of a traditional four-and-a-half-mat room, but the multiple layers of horizontal and vertical components and the sight lines create depth.
