House in Hasami

Outline
The house faces a street lined with kilns in Hasami-cho, famous for its pottery market. The house is set back 12m from the road and has a gate-shaped "anare", a garden and an "omoya" at the back. During the pottery market, the anare and the garden become a gallery where the artists display and sell their works.
