House in Sakudairaq

Outline
The site is located in a relatively built-up residential area of Sakudaira. It is a one-storied building with a low center of gravity to be built on a spacious site, with deep earthen eaves to connect the interior and exterior through the earthen floor. The main garden to the south is a bamboo grove of Nunobukuro bamboo with a high fence of Japanese white oak, and the courtyard is covered with a ground cover of cedar moss over a stand of maple trees.
