Hipped Roof House

Outline
This single-storey wooden duplex is built at the foot of a mountain in Chichibu, Japan. 2,730 mm (1.5 ken) pillars are placed between the pillars, and wooden fittings are fitted on all four sides to expose the structure to the outside. The edges serve as foundation beams, and the columns are rigidly connected to the foundation beams to create a wooden structure without any walls.
