HOUSE WITH FOUR VOIDS
Takeshi Komada+Yuka Komada/ Komada architects’ office
- Outline
- A two-family house completed in 2006 (shown in this magazine 0703), with the parent family living on the first floor and the child family living on the second floor, where voices resonate well through the four atriums, triggering mutual communication. Through the growth of the two grandchildren, the way the space is used gradually changes, and the places that remain unchanged are introduced, along with the pattern of daily life.
