WOOD×STEEL HOUSE
JAPAN masao yahagi architecture+ Ohno JAPAN
- Outline
- It is a mixed structure with a steel frame in the short side direction and a wooden frame in the long side direction. 910mm pitch H-steel frames are connected with wooden beams, and the outer flange is sandwiched between missing wooden columns, and the inner and outer walls are finished with structural plywood. As a result, the wall thickness is reduced to 123mm, maximizing the area and allowing the short side to be structurally free.
