HOUSE SH/Hashira-ma

Outline
This is a small house for an elderly woman living alone on a 41-square-meter site located a little further into the downtown area. The entire structure is composed of six 60 mm square pillars placed in the center and 400 x 75 mm light groove steel pillars that also serve as braces around the perimeter. The six thin pillars, which serve as a foothold for daily life, and the floor and ceiling openings create a comfortable relationship between the city and the architecture, and between the architecture and people.
