House in yoshikawa
Hiroshi Shoji Architect & Associates
- Outline
- The site is located at the corner of a major intersection of a city road and a prefectural road, and the aim was to create a building with a presence that would not be overshadowed by the situation. 3 parking spaces were required, so the first floor is used as a pilotis, and the living space is raised to the second floor by 3 RC inclined walls. In addition, the slabs on the west and north sides of the building are sprung out and covered with wooden structures to secure a distinctive form. From the large openings, the view of the rows of cherry trees along the road is taken in.
