Tree house
Masahiro Harada+MAO/ MOUNT FUJI ARCHITECTS STUDIO
- Outline
- Thirty-two portal frames made of LVL rotate spirally around an approximately 1.1-meter-long main pillar, forming a ceiling with a height difference of 1.7 meters from the exterior walls. The floor plan is a single room divided into four areas: the earthen floor, living room 1, living room 2, and bedroom, and each of the four floors has a 200mm difference in level. The four floors differ in level by 200mm each. The overall idea is to create an environment that is ordered like a large tree.
