House in Ooamishirasato-Cho
Naito Architect & Associates
- Outline
- The four private rooms are considered to be closed spaces, and are evenly distributed, maintaining their distance from each other. The large space created in the center is the family room, and the gaps that appear around it are external interior spaces that open up to the outside. The walls are thought to exist for the purpose of opening up, and are arranged in such a way as to lead to the openings, creating a sense of depth and expanse, while the glass blocks allow light and sight to escape.
