The department building and laboratory building of the department of civil engineering, faculty of science and engineering, newly established in 2022, is planned. 3 cores support a large roof of waffle concrete slabs, expressing civil engineering materials and volumes. the department of civil engineering, the first of its kind in the prefecture, will foster engineers who will develop infrastructure for disaster prevention and mitigation against massive nankai trough earthquakes, typhoon floods, and cliff collapses.
