The project commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of keio university and includes the conservation and repair of the former keio university library, which was built in 1912, seismic renovation (2017-19), and the development of the university museum "yukichi fukuzawa memorial keio university history exhibition hall" (opening in september 2021). the original design was by sone chujo architects. the exterior, entrance hall, and grand staircase were designated as national important cultural properties in 1969.
