A two-story wooden children's playground in kakamigahara city, gifu prefecture, japan. a truss structure was used to minimize the number of columns for safety reasons. the north-south wall consists of only fixtures and glass. a parallel string truss structure is constructed in the short direction, and diagonals and openings are continuous in the long direction. the large beam in the center of the truss is 300 mm square, and the columns are made of 300φ logs to reduce the loss of lumber.
