Kumamoto station east exit station square after the temporary form (1105), the station square plan was reviewed and redeveloped to enhance disaster prevention functions after the 2016 kumamoto earthquake. a 200mm-thick roof is installed along the lines of people's flow and traffic functions. the roof provides shade and shelter from rain, and can be used for waiting and resting. toilets are also provided.
