The building is located on the island of Omishima, where the Shimanami Sea Route passes through. A garden facing the sea spreads in front of the café located at the far end of the site. A green hill of about 1.2m height was created to create a gentle boundary between the site and the sea, while hiding the rise of the concrete seawall.
