Outline
The Nippon Foundation is collaborating with 16 groups of creators to install public toilets at 17 locations in Tokyo under the "THE TOKYO TOILET" project. The photo shows a public restroom in the Harunoogawa Community Park, designed by Shigeru Ban Architects. The exterior walls are made of tempered glass, color film, and instant light control film, and the glass becomes opaque when the lock is closed when a private room is in use. The same type of toilets were installed in Harunoogawa Community Park and Yoyogi Fukamachi Elementary Park with different colors of glass.
