This share house in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, is a renovation of the owner's former family home. We interviewed the owner about how the house was used when he lived there, and retained the existing architecture such as stairs and pillars in order to pass on the history of the family home. The walls of the first floor facing the street and the floor of the second floor were partially removed to allow light into the common areas.
