Outline
The winery is built on a sloping site with the foothills facing south. The winery was built with the help of a subsidy from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to promote overnight stays on farms, and is linked to the local overnight stay facilities. The winery consists of an iron wing (left) with a brewing room, a stone wing (bottom right) with a barrel storage room partially buried in the ground to take advantage of the difference in elevation of the site, and a wooden wing (top right) with a store and a community center. It is important to match the manufacturing process and gravity flow (a method of making wine without defying gravity by taking advantage of the difference in elevation of the site), so the building layout was studied based on the orientation and the difference in elevation of the existing site.
