KAJIMA DESIGN
Outline
This is a project to reconstruct the Hiyoshi Memorial Hall and its courtyard on the Hiyoshi Campus of Keio University. Due to the aging of the building and the lack of capacity for ceremonies, it was required to make the facility capable of accommodating more people than the existing building. The total floor area was increased from about 6,000 m2 to about 12,500 m2, and the maximum seating capacity was increased from about 6,500 to about 10,000. The exterior of the building is designed with colonnades to match the design of the first and second school buildings on both sides by Sone Nakajo Architects.
