This in-house training facility is located on a site adjacent to Maeda Corporation's technical research institute "ICI Lab" (this magazine, 1904). It consists of the "East School Building" and "West School Building," which were renovated from existing elementary schools and are used for lodging and training, and the "Wooden Garden," which is equipped with a hall and other facilities. The maximum span of 15m is realized by selecting the hybrid structure form which is easy to extend the span, with the intention of making the structure system more versatile and exceeding 12m, which is the maximum manufacturing and transportation size of laminated wood.
