Outline
This is a renovation project of the Tomioka Warehouse No. 3, which was established around 1910 and is located next to the Tomioka City Hall (1807). Seismic retrofitting was necessary to change the use of the warehouse from a storage warehouse for cocoons to a store, but it was required to preserve the existing appearance as much as possible from the viewpoint of landscape preservation. Carbon fiber rods, which have the same tensile strength as steel, were used for seismic reinforcement, and the existing truss sheds and walls were used as much as possible.
