The Art Center and Sculpture Park were designed as major cultural facilities in the Jadhav Waterfront District, Dubai. The building is located on a man-made island that was completed by drawing water from Dubai Creek into the cleared land between the main roads. Serie Architects' box-shaped proposal was selected in an international competition in 2014, and ibda design joined the design as consultant architect after the competition. After the completion of the Art Center, the Sculpture Park adjacent to the Art Center was designed by ibda design.
