Outline
This is the new town hall of Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture, which was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The building stands on a site adjacent to public facilities such as the Central Community Center and the History and Folklore Museum, and has a grassy plaza that is easily accessible from other public facilities. The building is accessible from all directions with eaves around the entire perimeter. During the design period, not only architects but also staff members, residents, and various specialists joined in the design study of the new government building.
