Outline
This is a project to renovate an office building directly connected to Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Station into a museum. While retaining the structural columns, the existing aluminum curtain walls on the first and third floors were removed and replaced with paired glass walls filled with special resin. The glass diffuses light and creates a lantern-like appearance. By dividing the height of the glass into sections of 400 mm, the height of the floors is made ambiguous. The interior walls of the exhibition room are finished with marble (travertine).
