A wooden financial institution in Sukumo City, Kochi Prefecture, is the first bank in Japan to use CLT for its main structural components. The vault is made of walled reinforced concrete (non-structural) and covered with a wooden structure. The 11.4-meter span of the second floor is made of CLT (7-ply) with tension beams to create a sense of floating.
