Outline
This is a conservation and renovation plan for a two-story brick warehouse built by a local bank in the late Meiji period to store cocoons as collateral. A removable seismic reinforcement is provided by inserting a steel-frame structure, which is connected to the horizontal surfaces of the roof and the second floor using the dry construction method. The existing structure resists the earthquake under normal conditions, while the reinforcement and the existing structure work together to resist a major earthquake.
