This is a restoration project for Kumamoto Castle, which was severely damaged by the Kumamoto earthquake in April 2016. From the reinforcement of the castle frame to the roof and stonewalls, various technologies are being used to restore the castle not only to its current state, but also to look to the future. The aim of the restoration of the castle tower is to allow people to enter the castle and look over the city of Kumamoto in April 2019.
