Outline
This is a public rental housing complex consisting of 12 one-story wooden houses (eight two-unit houses and four detached houses) and an assembly hall in Tamura City, Fukushima Prefecture. The project was planned to promote the return of residents to the city after the evacuation order was lifted ahead of other areas due to the nuclear power plant accident. In the two-unit type, lattice-shaped earthquake-resistant walls are placed facing the plaza and the street, softly separating the living areas while controlling the line of sight and solar radiation.
