This is a warehouse and store for a liquor store that also sells alcohol online, located in a newly developed residential area in Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture. The building is located in the center of the site, and the volume of the warehouse, which is often found in suburban areas, is decomposed and shifted to juxtapose the exterior spaces according to the interior functions. The environmental performance of the building is improved by the use of a pitched roof, ventilation windows at the top, a terrace and a curtain under the eaves.
