Outline
A yuya with a floor area of 9.9m2 (3.3 tsubos) stands in the garden of a Japanese inn located in Ogawa-machi, Saitama Prefecture. It serves as a place for guests to use the adjacent detached house, which is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. It consists of a 2-tatami-mat tea ceremony room named "Muyu-no-Space" and a space with an open mirror (bathing room). All natural materials are used, including cypress structural materials, Shirasu walls, and charcoal for moisture control and heat insulation.
