URBAN ARCHITECTURE PLANNING PARTNERSHIP
Outline
This 44-unit public housing project was planned for relocation from six coastal districts in the eastern part of Iwanuma City to the Tamaura West District, which was damaged by the tsunami that followed the Great East Japan Earthquake. Three types of housing units, row houses, two-unit houses, and detached houses, are planned along a greenway with barrier-free access. By adopting the "Denoji" plan, the units can be rotated according to the site conditions, and the sunlight and privacy of each unit are ensured.
