Adjacent to the east side (left side of the photo) of the main building of the Prefectural Office (designed by Koichi Sato, completed in 1939), which is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan, the facility concentrates crisis management functions as a base for disaster countermeasures. The cornice and pillar-head decorations follow the design order of the main prefectural building.
