Outline
A child welfare facility in Yawata City, Kyoto Prefecture. It was planned as a wooden building that actively uses domestic timber in response to the promotion of the use of wood in public facilities and the need for a symbolic landmark in the city. The building is a nested structure consisting of an outer shell structure made of large-section laminated wood and an inner shell structure in the shape of a box with white walls.
