Outline
This is a mound of insects built in the precincts of Kenchoji Temple for the purpose of memorializing insects and providing a place for worshippers to relax. Units of stainless steel mesh are stacked in a spiral shape with a diameter of about 6300 mm, and the stainless steel with a diameter of 3 to 6 mm is sprayed with a composite material of mortar and glass fiber using soil from the cliff face of the site.
